Featured @ the Library

The library is a learning hub where students can collaborate, ‘chill’ with a good library book, construct meaning from their reading and research, connect with ideas, and create. One such creative student who is featured for this article is Guanghou (Joe) from Year 10F. Joe was spotted in the Library creating some beautiful music with his classical guitar and this provided a much needed air of relaxation at the end of last term, whilst students around him read quietly in the cosy ‘Chill’ seats.

Joe played his signature piece entitled, “Romance de Amor’, a classical Spanish tune. He has been teaching himself recently, after taking lessons back in his home town near Hong Kong, encouraged by his grandparents. Joe was inspired by dedicated Chinese musicians in China.

It was great to hear Joe back in the Collaboration Centre again to start off Term 2. Other interested musicians are welcome to share their love of music during break times – just drop into the Library and discuss with Ms Stanley
