Safer Schoolies Initiative – parent information

​Parents play an important role in preparing their teens for end-of-year celebrations. If your teen is planning to partake in Schoolies, it’s important to talk to them about their plans.  

The Queensland Government’s Safer Schoolies Initiative (www.schoolies.qld.gov.au) does not promote participation in Schoolies, but seeks to enhance the safety and responsible behaviour of school-leavers at the Gold Coast, Airlie Beach and Yeppoon. Each location provides services to support school-leavers, including street patrols, walk-home services, schoolies-only areas, free water and medical assistance.

To volunteer to be part of the Schoolies Support Team for the 2016 Safety Response on the Gold Coast go to http://www.schooliesvolunteer.com.au  

Volunteer information sessions will run:

Wedensday: 9 November, 2016 - 6.00pm to 9.30pm - Robina Community Centre, Cnr Robina Town Centre Drive and San Antonio Court, Robina


Thursday: 10 November, 2016 -  6.00pm to 9.30pm - Robina Community Centre, Cnr Robina Town Centre Drive and San Antonio Court, Robina​


Monday: 14 November, 2016 - 6.00pm to 9.30pm - Kedron Wavel Services Club, 375 Hamilton Road, Chermside
