It's time for our Year 10 students to plan their courses of education and training through the next two years of the senior phase. All Year 10 students are required to develop a Student Education & Training Plan (SET Plan).
This SET Plan provides students with a personal learning plan to guide their future career pathway. The SET Plan is designed to build on students' strengths and provide them with a direction for the future.
Students complete most of the initial sections of this Plan during their Personal Development Program (PDP) lessons. These plans are accessible from home on http://oslp.eq.edu.au and I strongly encourage all parents to view your student's responses and educational goals online together.
The importance of this program is reflected in that the Department of Education mandates this initiative and all students are expected to complete a SET Plan irrespective of their intended pathway for 2022.
It has never been more important to make informed and appropriate decisions regarding subject selections and pathways to ensure success in this new Queensland Certificate of Education system.
What's next
Again this year schools are significantly impacted by the COVID19 situation in terms of certain school events and our subject information evening is one of these. Information intended for this evening is on school's website including a message from our Executive Principal, videos from HODs and information from QTAC. You can find it all here:
We encourage any questions be directed to the relevant HOD by email. We are running a Q and A session with students and HODs prior to SETP meetings (guidelines permitting).
