Thank you for your support in the return of our Year 11 and 12 students to the school site this week. Students are settling in well and we have had many conversations about the learning online experience for students. We will soon survey our Year11/12 to gather more information about the online work we have tried to do in our school community this term so that in the future we can use our new learning in even more productive ways.
Student attendance has again been very good and today the Guidance Officer/Chaplain Team provided Year 12 students with a muffin at a Year 12 student’s check-in this morning (Year 11 next week). The goal was not only to ‘touch base’ with students but also to remind students that our support services team is available and ready to help when and as needed.
Can I please have your support with school uniform and I would like first to thank you for your efforts in these difficult times to have students back in uniform almost without exception. My concern at the moment is the short and sometimes embarrassing length of girls skirts. I understand that ‘growth spurts’ are always a feature of senior years but staff and students themselves are raising eyebrows at the moment. I have attached the photos of uniforms from our uniform policy just as a reminder of the standard of uniform including short white socks and we would be grateful for your assistance to return us to the normality of our school uniform.
I will continue to post updates of Year 11/12 as students continue their return to classroom and subject learning. We are very focussed now on identifying gaps in learning and on positioning students for priority in their current curriculum units.
Get ready to hang on as our ‘Many Pathways ~ No Limits’ goes into a hyper-drive of student support.
Please take care,
