On Tuesday, 23 February 2021, three Enrolment Information Sessions were held for parents/carers of students enrolling in Year 7, 2022 via Academic Selective Entry.
Cultural Selective Entry (including Dance & Music Excellence)
A School of Excellence in the Arts, Benowa State High School has a strong commitment to encouraging creativity through studies in the arts. Students can apply for selective entry:
- Music Excellence
- Dance Excellence
- Drama Merit (NB. this is not an Excellence Program)
- Visual Art merit (NB. this is not an Excellence Program)
Year 7 2022, Cultural Selective Entry Information Session
On Wednesday, 24 February 2021, two Enrolment Information Sessions will be held at the Benowa State High School Sports Hall for parents/carers of students enrolling in Year 7, 2022 via Cultural Selective Entry.
Please note that Enrolment Information Sessions will be strictly a seated, ticketed event following current COVID safe guidelines. We ask for only one parent/carer and one child to attend.

Sporting Selective Entry (including Sports Excellence)
Benowa State High School has a proud sporting tradition, and students who enrol under this category are expected to participate in all sporting events (including Cluster Sports Days) for the duration of their enrolment at the school.

Local Catchment Area
Benowa State High School is committed to the learning outcomes of all students from the local area.
To be eligible for local catchment enrolment, parents/carers who seek to enrol their child at the school will need to fully demonstrate that the student's principal place of residence is genuiney within the defined catchment area. Proof of residence at the address must be provided upon enrolment as outlined in the requirements for local catchment applications.

On Tuesday, 23 March 2021 one local catchment area information session will be held at the Benowa State High School Sports Hall for parents/carers of students enroling in Year 7 2022 from within our local area.

Places are limited to 210 seats. Registrations close at 5.00pm on Friday, 19 March 2021 unless fully subscribed earlier.
