As one of the Gold Coast's most respected schools Benowa SHS offers limited scholarships to students wishing to enrol in Year 7.
Supported by our P&C we only offer scholarships to Year 7 students who have demonstrated a high degree of excellence in his or her chosen area, combined with a high degree of personal commitment.

Scholarship students are expected and encouraged to be a leader within our school community through participating fully in all school activities.
Types of Scholarship
Academic Scholarship
Students who excel academically may apply for this scholarship.
For this scholarship applicants are required to complete the application forms and must sit the school's academic entrance exam to be considered.
Applications for Academic Scholarships open on Tuesday 23 February and close Monday 8 March 2021.
Scholarship applicants will be notified by mail of their result prior to the end of Semester 1, 2021.
Cultural Scholarship
Cultural Scholarships are awarded to students who excel in Music, Dance, Drama and/or Visual Art.
For this scholarship applicants are required to complete the application forms, register for an audition and book an audition time. (An email with details will be sent to you after you submit your Year 7 Excellence Program/Merit Entry Application 2022).
Applications for Cultural Scholarships open on Tuesday 23 February and close Monday 8 March 2021.
Scholarship applicants will be notified by mail of their result prior to the end of Semester 1, 2021.
Sport Scholarship
Sporting Scholarships are awarded to students through an application process. Applicants for this scholarship are required to complete the application forms and provide appropriate certificates to validate selections provided and participating in the Sports Testing day. (An email with details will be sent to you after you submit your Year 7 Excellence Program/Merit Entry Application 2022).
Applications for Sport Scholarships open on Tuesday 23 February and close Monday 8 March 2021.
Scholarship applicants will be notified by mail of their result prior to the end of Semester 1, 2021.
