Celebrating Science Week
It’s Science Week! From 15–23 August, National Science Week celebrates science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and the incredible ways they help us understand and shape the world around us. This year’s theme, Seeds of Science: Nurturing Science for All, encourages us to embrace curiosity, ask questions and explore how scientific knowledge grows through discovery, collaboration and learning.
Across Queensland, schools, universities, museums and research organisations are getting involved with hands-on activities, experiments, demonstrations and opportunities to connect with scientists and STEM professionals. Science Week is a great reminder that science isn’t just something we learn in a classroom — it is all around us, helping us solve problems, make discoveries and imagine what might be possible next!
