Sunsmart Safety Policy (PDF, 377Kb)
We understand the need to protect the skin of students and staff and to provide education about sun smart behaviour, thus reducing the risk of sun damage from exposure to the sun. This outlines what we do here at BSHS.
Use of personal technology devices at school (PDF, 758KB)
Benowa State High School has a zero-tolerance policy for misuse of mobile phones or electronic devices, including ear pods/headphones for a device, being seen, used or heard during class time. The simple rule is “turned off and put away”. Personal technology devices may be used at morning tea and lunch breaks and before and after school only. Read for more details....

This document describes the key elements of the ‘New Art & Science Of Teaching’, which is a pedagogical framework developed by Dr Robert Marzano and is the framework that contains the 43 elements of high quality teaching that form the basis of our language of instruction with our teachers.
