It is with great pleasure that I welcome your family, to our school community. We are a school community that encourages excellence, applauds achievement and celebrates diversity. Over the coming years your student will have the opportunity to extend themselves academically, develop themselves as a good global citizen, and a well-rounded young adult who will leave us to pursue their chosen pathway.
Historically, we have held an Orientation Evening in November for students who will be joining us in Year 7 the following year. Unfortunately, this year's event could not occur due to the COVID-19 restrictions that were in place surrounding visitors on school sites at the time I needed to make a decision regarding Term 4 school events. Despite the cancellation, I believe it remains essential to provide your family with the critical information to support your student’s transition to our school. Whilst some of the information may seem trivial, I assure you that the information is very pertinent for all students and parents/carers. To hear this information, please watch the video below.
The transition from primary school to high school may be an anxious time for your student and yourself, so it is important that you both know who you can turn to for any support around this. Our eight Heads of House are the first people to contact during this time. Hear about our eight Houses by viewing the video below.
Please note: prior to the start of the 2021 academic year you will receive further information regarding your student’s House allocation.
I invite you and your family to hear more about our school’s culture of high expectations for all students by viewing the video below.
We thank you for taking the time to read this email and watch the attached videos and we look forward to seeing your student and you at our school in 2021.
