The school canteen is operational during the school academic year and for special functions as advised by the school principal.
The canteen trading hours during the school term are:
Breakfast: 7.00am - 8.40am
Morning tea: 11.15am - 11.55am
Lunch: 1.05pm - 1.35pm
The canteen is managed by a full time manager, employed by the P&C and supported by permanent part time and casual staff.
Students may place lunch orders before school or at morning tea. These orders must be collected at the 'ice block' counter. This system ensures students choice of food is met and avoids the process of lining up.
Benowa has also introduced FlexiSchools online ordering and ID card payment in the
school canteen; this lets students make cashless transactions in the tuck shop
as well as allowing parents to monitor their children’s purchases and spending
limits. Through a simple three step process parents can register and top up the
account – allowing their students to pay quickly and easily. See information
