Queensland health provides the school dental service offering treatment to children from 4 years of age through until completion of year 10.

Medical history/consent forms are issued to each child and must be completed and returned prior to them receiving an examination. After the examination parents/guardians will receive a statement of treatment needs which must be signed prior to treatment commencing. The team providing this service consists of a dentist, school dental therapists and dental assistants. dental therapists working under the direction of a dentist will carry out most of the dental procedures.

Emergency or toothache treatment is available by contacting the clinic on (07) 55394 733.

International full fee paying students or independent special fee students are not eligible for this Government dental program or any immunisation program.

    Naomi Malcolm is currently employed under the federal government plan for chaplaincy at Benowa State High School for 2 days (Monday and Friday)

  • Guidance

    The service enables students to successfully balance an increasingly broad and challenging range of educational and developmental issues that challenge them in their progress through high school.

  • Learning support

    The centre provides and promotes a service to students to help in the areas of literacy and numeracy. Individual one-on-one tutoring is available for years 7-12 students. Programs are designed around specific areas/needs of each student.
